Agriculture is the most important part of the municipality's economy.

Favorable climatic and soil conditions determine the economy of the region, which is a traditional producer of wheat, sunflower, corn and other crops. A promising direction is the greenhouse production of vegetables, which along with some technical crops has the potential for future development by increasing the occupied areas and diversifying the crops grown.
The structure of the industry in the municipality is determined by the sub-sectors food - production of edible oils and sausages /, light industry / women's clothing, footwear and leather products / and mechanical engineering / production of car filters /.
